…lucky he is cute.
Ethan is the toughest model (yet). With barely 6 1/2 months of living experience, he sure can be a diva. His biggest demand is food, more precisely things to munch. Otherwise he will go for his toes. He sure does make it look yummy.
I had the pleasure to do Ethan’s baby portraiture. I would like to thank her mummy Gaik Kooi and daddy Chee Weng for inviting me.

Thanks folks and thank you Ethan !
Tech info: Shot with 35mm and 50mm primes in Manual mode using the feather soft window light. Post process in LR and CS – mainly to tweak exposure, contrast and add sharpess.
When many Malaysians were enjoying sleep late on a public holiday, and what’s more it was a wet morning. Perfect recipe to keep lazing.
Not for us. We had a shoot and Huey Yee with her bubbly upbeat mood worked us up for a shoot. It was her shoot, but she invited me and Angie along.

Matt and Jade, colleagues of HY, were very sporting. They are about to be married back home in UK. It was was a casual shoot with HY leading the charge. And as for us, we were the paparazzi : )

Matt and Jade’s big day is coming up in a month time back in UK, wish you happiness always. It was great to know you folks.

Thanks folks… Thanks Huey Yee for organising.
I feel like Harry Potter who just received Firebolt broom – fastest flying broom for Quidditch in the wizard world (The Prisoner of Azkaban episode).

Well, my new mbp ain’t the fastest but it is sweet.
Hualien is about a 45min flight down at east coast, renown for its natural coastal scene (not really) and national park (quite alright). It was a good getaway from the hectic Taipei.
And at Taroko National Park (just 15min drive up north), I felt autumn has arrived. The trees were turning yellow / brown. Air was breezy and temperature was just fantastic 20 dec C.

There were many temples built along the route and up in the mountain. Much like kung fu movies. A long tele lens would be great for close ups. Unfortunately I did not have one with me.

Closer to Hualien (back of airport), there is a beach popular with the locals. It was built on reclaimed land. Nevertheless, it was a great sight. Highly recommended for a relaxing stroll.
And that is it. A quick travelogue of Taiwan. A place I would love to come back again for the food…
And one more thing about Taipei is its 101. Tallest building in Taiwan and formerly in the world too.

Taipei 101
Although many were fascinated with this 101, I find many more were busy posing with THE LOVE sign. This famous sculpture by Robert Indiana is also found in a couple of other cities in the world. Love conquers all (pardon my cliche).

Final posting next… outside Taipei.
Tech info: Quick note on the LOVE shot, it was way passed sunset with a glimpse of light from way back. Shot handheld at ISO 6400 with much PP in LR and CS5.
